WELCOME TO The ANN BEAN mansion

The Ann Bean Mansion at 319 Pine Street West was built in an era boasting of luxury and the high society life-style of one of Stillwater’s most prominent families - The Beans.

Since construction began in 1878, the very essence of this grand Victorian relic has been of elegance, opulence, hospitality, and connection, bringing people together in celebration and community; Families enjoying one another’s company, lovers slipping away for time together, and even those moments of peace, tranquility and time alone when a person seeks the special calm this majestic home offers. This is the Ann Bean tradition.

Through the years, various owners have brought their own unique influences to the mansion, upgrading and restoring this treasure. From the original inhabitants, Jacob and Cynthia Bean, to their daughter Ann Bean, for whom the house was later named, to the variety of bed & breakfast owners, each has added a bit of their own heart into the preservation of this invaluable piece of Stillwater history… and then lovingly passed the torch onto the next.

Current owner, Brian Brosdahl, was drawn to the Ann Bean Mansion for some of these very same reasons. As a longtime resident of Stillwater with a passion for the history and architecture of the city, it was a natural fit for him to step in as the owner of the mansion. With a deep respect for the work of those who have gone before him, Brian takes his role as the safe-keeper of this precious gem very seriously. He cherishes the opportunity to participate in and share with others this unique piece of history.

No Victorian mansion of grandeur can run to its fullest potential without the aid of an energetic and creative staff. The mansion’s team of talented professionals lovingly take care of the aesthetics of the home and take great joy in preparing amazing gourmet breakfast for guests.
